Coming off a morale-boosting 3-1 victory against Al Ittihad, Mosimane, affectionately known as ‘Jingles,’ leads his squad against Damac, a team they’ve struggled to conquer in their last two encounters.

Abha suffered a 4-2 defeat in the reverse fixture, fueling their desire for redemption this afternoon.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr inadvertently aided Mosimane’s cause by defeating Abha’s relegation rivals, Al Akhdoud, 3-2 on Thursday.

With both Abha and Akhdoud tied at 28 points, and Al Taee sitting close on their heels with 27 points, every point is crucial for Mosimane’s side, especially considering their staggering goal difference of minus 45 – the worst in the league.

After they clash with Damac, Abha will have three remaining matches to safeguard their position in the top-flight league, as the bottom three teams face relegation to Division 1.

Abha’s remaining fixtures

At home against Damac – 10 May
Away to Al Ahli SC – 18 May
Home against Al Khaleej – 23 May
Away to Hazem – 27 May
