Magic Tips Preview
The three-year old UNDERCOVER AGENT was an impressive c & d minor feature winner on his local debut in his comeback effort last month and the distance specialist should again make his presence felt despite a noticeable rise in class. He isn’t favourably weighted but his older rivals won’t be fully tuned-up and that is a major bonus.
The veteran campaigner SARATOGA DANCER had a decent comeback sprint 35 minutes prior to the top selection’s triumph as he prepares for his winter season assault. His wide draw is an obvious worry but he had a most creditable display in this event twelve months ago.
The best-weighted entrant SAIL SOUTH is the stablemate to the top rating and this top class veteran campaigner has his first run since his Met flop. The versatile gelding could easily need the outing but he has the class and he also finished close-up in this event last year. WILL PAYS brings promising Highveld form into this event & he gives the indication that this track could suit his running style.
The other Cape raider is the fast improving and ultra-consistent PEROVSKIA who is still reaching his best merit rating. He could also enjoy racing at this venue but of course makes his local debut.
