Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu insists Amatsatsantsa will be more competitive in the remainder of the season as they set their sights on the Nedbank Cup trophy.

SuperSport currently sit third in the DStv Premiership standings with 33 points, equal with Orlando Pirates who sit second thanks to a superior goal difference.

Gavin Hunt’s men are also in the quarter-finals of the Ke Yona tournament and will face Stellenbosch on 13 of April.

The last occasion the Pretoria-based outfit tasted silverware was in the 2019/20 season when they were crowned the MTN8 champions under coach Kaitano Tembo.

“SuperSport United is a contending team which is why we are always competing,” said Ndlovu.

“Which is why we are making sure that we making it difficult for any team that is in the league.”

“Right now we have one or two cups that we playing for, we will make sure that we try by all means, that we leave sweat and blood there (Nedbank Cup),” he concluded.

The Swanky Boys will host TS Galaxy in a DStv Premiership clash on Saturday at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
