Taking on the 2000-metre trip for the first time on Saturday is the Justin Snaith-trained gelding, WARRIOR. The son of Futara ran a respectable third in the recent Antjhonij Rupert Wyne Premier Trophy behind RASCALLION and NEXUS, finishing just over half-a-length off the former that day.
He switched out wide in the Premiers and was running on toward the end of that race. He’s also been good in his other two starts over 1800 metres, staying on at the finish. One to include int he quartets, perhaps?
