Having enjoyed two moderate performances since returning from injury, Brett Crawford will hope that this Master Of My Fate colt can produce the goods in his first appearance over this distance. Those two aforementioned runs came in strong company – a 10th-place finish in the Grade 2 Cape Merchants and a sixth-place run in the L’Ormarins King’s Plate. It should be noted that he was fancied for the 2022 Hollywoodbets Durban July before being scratched due to injury.
Those two outings would have done him a world of good in the lead-up to the Met. He once again finds himself in extremely good company, however, if he is back to his best he could bag his first win since taking out the 2022 Grade 2 WSB Guineas at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
