The daughter of Twice Over would have gained from the experience and should make the natural progression.
Race 2: BRAVE NEW WORLD (3)
Jockey: A Domeyer – Trainer: B Crawford
BRAVE NEW WORLD ran a good race on debut over this C&D. She was slow into stride, but showed pace and stayed on well. The daughter of Trippi would have come on with the run under her belt and in this type of field, she can go one better here.
Race 4: CHILE JAM (2)
Jockey: A Marcus – Trainer: C Bass-Robinson
CHILE JAM’S last two starts have been good. She ran on strongly at the finish last time, but was pipped. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade looks progressive and Anton Marcus could get the best out of her in the run down to the line.
Race 7: CAPTAIN CARTEL (1)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: J Snaith
CARTEL CAPTAIN finished 0.3 lengths behind CONSTABLE in the Cape Merchants last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. He should strip a much fitter horse today and can get back to winning ways.

Jockey: G van Niekerk – Trainer: J Snaith
GIMME ACES is the value bet on today’s card. He was his own worst enemy in a minor feature race over seven furlongs last time as he overraced in the early stages. The son of Gimmethegreenlight won his only attempt over this distance. Grant van Niekerk takes the ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
