TOP BET
Race 1: IMAGINATION(4)
Jockey: Brandon LERENA – Trainer: Michael ROBERTS

IMAGINATION
relished being equipped with blinkers as he made huge improvement in posting a career-best effort over this c & d, six weeks ago. He finished strongly when beaten a head into 2nd that day and should build on that run. The Visionaire gelding will again wear the headgear and despite a wide draw, he should give another very good account of himself.

Race 4: STARRETT CITY(2)

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH – Trainer: Alyson WRIGHT

STARRETT CITY has shown fair form over shorter and the well-bred Western Winter colt needed his first sprint after relocating to this province. That run would have certainly brought him on and his pedigree suggests that the Wright inmate will relish this steep rise in ground. It remains to be seen how he handles this surface but the engaging of Delpech suggests that his conditioner fancies the three-year-old’s chances.

Race 5: DELIRIOUS NOMAD(9)
Jockey: Sean VEALE – Trainer: Dennis DRIER

DELIRIOUS NOMAD enjoys this surface and he ran above his rating when almost lowering the colours of the useful Canigao (runs in race 3) over this c & d on unfavourable weight terms, four weeks ago. The son of Rebel King didn’t suffer any penalty for finishing runner-up so is really well handicapped in this field. The Drier inmate is well drawn and he should go very close.

Race 6: FERRIE(1)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Dennis DRIER

The speedy FERRIE is making up for lost time and he had an impressive winning comeback in his home province, six weeks ago. The son of Trippi crushed some useful opposition on the grass over six furlongs that day and he will strip much fitter now. The Drier inmate was handed a hefty seven-pound penalty but he still has plenty more improvement to come and can follow-up on his track debut. The minimum trip should prove no issue for the three-year-old and Marcus retains the ride.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 2: MISS PARKER(7)
Jockey: Collen STOREY – Trainer: Colin SCOTT

MISS PARKER
is rated by her yard and she made eye-catching late progress to register a decent last effort in her comeback run over this c & d, two weeks ago. She clearly has issues but should strip fitter and has more to come. The daughter of Rebel King can certainly build on that last run and she jumps from a good draw.
